Please end daylight savings. It is a major reason I cannot get into a sustainable sleep pattern. At my age it is hard enough to sleep without deciding to change the time every six months. Just adds another wrinkle I think my body could do without.Mar 13th, 2017Someone from Indianapolis, IN writes:
Horrible for the kids trying to adjust to daylight savings time. I really dislike the children having to wait on their bus in the darkhen we spring forward. As an adult I also suffer from sleep pattern disturbances as a result of the changing clocks/time every 6 months. Please end daylight savings time!REPORT COMMENTS

Keeping Daylight Savings Time is a mindless act of our so called Representatives who care less about our welfare. This is a typical example of how much these self seeking lawyers, pretending to represent us, are not even aware of what we are about. Sign the petition to get rid of it. Also contact your ancient representative in D.C. Wake them up long enough to hear you say ....get rid of Daylight Savings Time NOW!REPORT COMMENTS

In a 24 hour world this tradition has very little benefit to modern life. Staying on daylight savings time to match those states who do not participate would be the best way to aid cross border commerce while reducing the stress it creates to our nervous system. Please end this practice. Thank youREPORT COMMENTS

This insane idea messes up peoples body clocks (which can have serious consequences - eg traffic accidents). It also causes them to miss appointments, and events (departure times, shows etc.) twice a year.REPORT COMMENTS

It's about time! A simple invention, the light bulb, rendered DST obsolete. It is a sacred cow we have held on to far too long, and it is time to eliminate this confusing and wasteful practice.REPORT COMMENTS

I do not see the need for daylight saving time anymore. There is a lot of information about extending daylight in the evening to save energy and how it there have been studies in the 1970's on how daylight savings has reduced traffic accidents. However, now in the 21st century with all of the advanced technology and advanced lighting on roadways it is not necessary for daylight savings anymore. I feel that it is detrimental to people at this point because it messes with our sleep cycles, it is especially bad for children of all ages. Students going to school in particular have a very difficult time. It is also difficult for those in the work force, think about those that have jobs driving buses for school districts and public transportation. How about airline pilots? Not to mention the fact that it is not necessary to have it be broad daylight at 9pm at night when parents are trying to get their children to bed. It is time to get rid of daylight savings time! Thank you for reading my comments. KimREPORT COMMENTS

The body functions on an internal clock rhythm. I do not lose an hour of sleep. I lose 2 weeks of my life! My body does not understand what is going on. First it lives a 23 hour day. Then, it expect to live another 23 hour day, but its back to a 24 hour day. My body does not understand this! I am going to bed early (which doesn't work) and waking up early. I am starting work early but stopping it early too. My body doesn't understand it. I am stressed, tired, and short with others. I do not gain an hour of sleep. I gain 2 weeks of misery. On day one, my body lives a 25 hour day. The next day, it expect another 25 hour day but it is then a 24 hour day. I am overly tired because I either stayed up an hour earlier or got up an hour later or didn't start work for an hour later or stayed at work an entire hour more. I need more sleep because of being up that extra hour but I don't actually get more sleep. My body doesn't understand what is going on! I am stressed, tired, and short with people. This is madness!REPORT COMMENTS
