For the love of common sense can we end this practice that has no place in our society. Bonus points there is no left or right side of this issue. Please end daylight savings time! My husband was late to work this morning and he is never late to work! He over slept by an hour. We tried going to bed early but he could not fall asleep. There is absolutely no need for this time change. In the summer it causes the sun to be out way to late. Have you ever tried to get your kids in bed while it is still light outside? It is not a fun bedtime with young children. Even in late April and May it is hard to get school children in bed at a good time with it being light so long. It is hard on our bodies to readjust. Daylight savings time is a nightmare! Please get rid of it!REPORT COMMENTS

According to Forbes, over $1.7 billion is lost every year from production due to daylight savings time. There are statistics that more car accidents and heart attacks taken place during this time as well. Clearly the pros outweigh the cons. If you were to do a poll from 100 random people in any state, I can guarantee you will find majority vote against daylight savings time. In fact the more research I do and the people I talk to, no one seems to understand why we have daylight savings and what the benefits are. If you can come up with any benefit for daylight savings time, I can probably counter with double the amount of cons. Please make America great again. Please end DST. It is tiresome to have to change all of our clocks and it is hard on everyone. It is not saving money or anything.
