This practice causes much havoc in my household every time. My children and I are very fatigued for days and easily distracted, aggravated and overall feeling of unhealthiness. This puts an very heavy burden on my family. My children are so hard to wake up and act zombie-like. If this was a practice put in use to help the farmers, then with the advancement of modern machinery it is far time this burden stops being put on American families - this is a disaster! Please Stop! -

The time change is a disaster for employees, parents, and children. There is no point to it, and all it does is decrease safety and productivity.REPORT COMMENTS

The practice of daylight savings times has outlived its purpose. This slight change in time has monumental effects on people and animals. We are all out of sync and I, for one, am convinced that people with bipolar issues suffer the worst from this. Please stop daylight savings time practices. Thank you.REPORT COMMENTS

Benjamin Franklin contemplated a daylight savings system. Upon further thought, he decided the idea was totally idiotic. Daylight savings does nothing to save energy or Foster productivity. For the sake of every parent and teacher in the state of Florida please end this nonsense. When we fall back one hour in October please let that be the end of it. Public health and safety, education, family cohesion, will benefit from a clock that falls back in October of 2017 and NEVER changes again. Thank you for all you do. I know this issue may seem like small potatoes, but it's not. Fight for our sanity - end daylight savings!REPORT COMMENTS

Pleasent get rid of daylight savings! It serves no purpose, and down in San Antonio we'd rather it be bright in the morning when it's not as hot, and darker earlier to give us a respotential from the heat!REPORT COMMENTS

Changing the time upsets sleep, work, and leisure patterns. Makes you more tired as you try to adjust. Keep it simple; don't change the time. We can all be much happier, much happier, and more productive.REPORT COMMENTS

Daylight savings time was first enacted in 1918. 2018 would be the perfect year to move forward to Daylight Savings time for one last time and end the clock changing. I think most people are used to having extra daylight in the summer months and would prefer to be ahead one hour from now on. Even if it means being on standard time forever it would be a better compromise then switching twice a year. I will help support legislation in West Virginia.REPORT COMMENTS

In the US, ?Fast Time? as it was called then, was first introduced in 1918 when President Woodrow Wilson signed it into law to support the war effort during World War I. The initiative was sparked by Robert Garland, a Pittsburgh industrialist who had encountered the idea in the UK. Today he is often called the ?Father of Daylight Saving?. Only seven months, later the seasonal time change was repealed. However, some cities, including Pittsburgh, Boston, and New York, continued to use it until President Franklin D. Roosevelt instituted year-round DST in the United States in 1942. Please Please stop the time change. It wreaks havoc on our body clocks to change it every FIVE-SIX months...this cannot be healthy...what is the reason for it NOW?? All who have signed this are serious! Don't ignore us.REPORT COMMENTS
