With all the terrorism going on now I think that a person from another country should have to be approved to come to the United States to live. The United States has became almost a country of poverty for it's natural born citizens but hands out money to others who come here and want to start a business, helps them get homes, etc. which it will not do for the natural born citizens. I think it is very unfair that people can come here from other countries and live better with help from our government than the working people can live where both parents have to work just to provide shelter and food for their family.If they are allowed to come here after being thoroughly investigated they should have to abide by our laws and customs. The females should not be allowed to cover their faces with scarves, etc Why should they be allowed to when it is illegal to wear a toboggan to keep warm in the winter. Isn't that the same thing? To many people, this seems heartless on the surface. But, how did we get to the point where emotions supersede our laws? What if the roles were reversed? If an American citizen were to attempt to live in Mexico, (or any other country) without following their immigration laws...we would be deported directly, and nobody would think it unfair? If an American citizen were to commit a crime to feed their family, will the crime be forgiven? Will he be given a free pass because he's just trying to feed his family? I think not. We have laws that we live by, and these laws are birthed in Congress. Why then, when it comes to illegal immigrants, are we so wishy-washy in enforcing these laws? We are a nation of immigrants, and all people are welcome in this great nation. However, immigration must be done legally. The American people have been pushed to the limit in paying taxes, and many of us struggle to keep our heads above water. Why then, do we have to pay to support people who have entered this country illegally? Shouldn't we take care of our own before employing, providing health care, schooling, etc. to people who have thumbed their noses at our laws?
