For all of these reasons mentioned, I also call for the immediate resignation of Vivian Schiller and the entire executive staff of NPR. The staff has said that the firing of Juan Williams was due to his comments being "inconsistent with our editorial standards and practices," which are in reality their pushing of their liberalist agenda and the forcing of all conservative media outlets to silence. Also, the 100 political reporters were hired only for the purpose of discrediting and defaming Fox News Channel hosts such as Glenn Beck. These are direct violations of the First Amendment, as such actions seek to undermine both freedom of speech and freedom of the press. For this, I also call for the prosecution of George Soros, owner of NPR and owner and sponsor of MoveOn.org, for these violations. I cannot and will not in good conscience support an organization that violates the rights of free speech in the name of defending them.REPORT COMMENTS

NPR was wrong to fire someone for speaking their mind. He did not berate NPR or any of his co-workers. This violated Mr. Williams First Amendment Right of free speech. My tax dollars, the time I gave serving my country is not given to support censored speech.REPORT COMMENTS

NPR has time and again revealed its extremely progressive views, which are not representative of mainstream American values. No argument can be made for spending thousands of our tax dollars on this "news" source that essentially does little more than spew leftist propaganda.REPORT COMMENTS

I don't always agree with Juan's Political views However He is a good Man and a great American..Perhaps this will open His and He will see that there is more to this than the remarks on Fox as He said NOTHING that could have been inferred or Implied as a Raciest remark. He only expressed an emotion and or feeling that most People are feeling..I feel as He does and will say it to the World.. I wish Juan good luck in all that Life has to offer and ask God to Bless Him and all those He holds Dear.. Ps.My Thanks to Fox for their support and standing up for Juan.....MaryREPORT COMMENTS

We must set priorities for limited funds and NPR is not a priority. Thousands of channels are available for viewing and parents can select programming for their children on TV and on the computer. NPR is no longer necessary and is a constitutionally questionable funding of a political point of view.REPORT COMMENTS

NPR has never been an unbiased media outlet. As long as they don't subscribe to the idea of the fairness doctrine which they want to impose on PRIVATE companies, then they don't need public money for ANYTHING. DEFUND NOW!REPORT COMMENTS

This is a 'no brainer'; save our tax dollars for worthwhile purposes; there is enough folks supporting public and private radio and television, the Federal Government does not need to be one.REPORT COMMENTS

For being a government funded media outlet NPR seems to always have a left-leaning viewpoint. The government should not be funding a democratic platform.REPORT COMMENTS
