I don't think our government understands the emotional and physical pain we go through. If a cure is possible then why not support it? Curing herpes will unravel the chain for other life threatening diseases. Scientists crack one code and it only leads to understanding other diseases better. If HSV1 can be cured this means a decline in Alzheimer's diagnosis. If HSV2 can be cured this means a decrease in HIV/AIDS rate. Not to forget people will feel alive again being herpes free. Don't ignore this because it's a crisis that is only rising. People honestly become so depressed over this disease that they withdrawal from society. This is a real problem and it's time more funding is put forth to save those affected by this virus. Antivirals are just not enough because for thousands the medication does not do it's justice. It doesn't prevent it from spreading and often people still have outbreaks. This is so contagious that a sore doesn't need to be present for spreading the virus. Another sad part of all this, is so many people are infected and don't know. Meaning they are spreading the virus. Please stop this nightmare!REPORT COMMENTS
