I have had HSV-1 for years I hate the breakouts on my mouth. It impeds my life. My ability to have a functional life during a breakout decreases. I want a cure so badly for this so I no longer have to worry about if i am getting a nother breakout. It would put my mind at ease knowing im not going to give it to my husband or my kids. cold sores hurt and we need to get this done please dont delay and donate for funding toward this research. we can help people all over the world. If we can cure HSV-1, we can cure anything. this would be a major achievement, and isnt that what the US is good at?REPORT COMMENTS

I have been in a monagamous relationship for over 15 years and recently I got infected with HSV1 without any sexual contact. Social kissing or skin to skin contact( unknowingly) would have been the only reason I can think of. I wish I knew better but very few people know how contacgious it is. Now I start reading and realize how serious of an epidemic it is in our society. Poor little innocent kids are becoming unsuspecting targets to this disease and suffer the rest of their lives just like me. Pl. ...Pl...
