I have been trying to understand and figure out what makes a pedophile tick. I have learned that there are many who don't harm children and a few who do. But those that act on their disgusting impulses hurt these children directly. Those actions should carry the fullest penalty possible...death. As a teacher and father, I am constantly scared that this could happen to my children or students. I support any measure from the removal of first amendment rights regarding sexual materials depicting children to the removal of eighth amendment rights for monsters who harm the most innocent of all! It may be a small thing, but I will do anything in my power to show the public the true nature and damage a sexual predator has on a child, their family, and the community as a whole. "I was twelve years old when he destroyed my outlook on life. Never did I ever think that I would believe the word I am safe again. I say this to all that can understand what it felt like to have your innocent taken from you by some one you once trusted and believed were a friend. I believe that so many people have a opportunity to make a difference and change the outcome of life from sad to happy again by taken back the power that we once had as a child and could have changed for the better. I became stronger over the years defiant of the truth within me until I had to face my demons head on and that day came when for the first time I heard he was dead. I joyously sang from a roof top and thanked my lucky stars that he was gone and wouldn't be back. How many others lives did he affect or destroy the truth in the matter was the guilt from never telling was killing me inside more then the fear of never knowing if I was safe.
