The government wastes too much money on insignificant matters that only benefit a few. It's time they start using that money to have low cost vaccination and sterilization campaigns, being very strict about monitoring what goes on in the shelters and educating the country on animal protection laws. It is past time to educate the general public of spay and neuter options for their pets. We need to provide not only the education but low cost spay and neuter clinics in order to bring this horrendous statistic of animal euthanasia to an end. In general NO ONE should be able to purchase a puppy from a puppy mill without first seeing a video of the mountains of dead cats and dogs that are euthanized each and every year in this country. It should be part of the curriculum in every school. Puppies and Kitties are ALWAYS cute! They ALWAYS need responsible pet owners for life TOO!REPORT COMMENTS
