I have worked child welfare for 25 years as a worker and trainer. I see children who are so traumatized by the system and the families yet they are returned to abusive neglectful families and are not prepared for adoption through good lifebook work and counseling. Then the adoptions disrupt because the children are no more ready for the adoption than many families are. Changes need made in the systems.REPORT COMMENTS
