Our companion animals and Americans consumers deserve better treatment that this. Americans should not have their meat supply contaminated with cancer causing drug-laced horse meet. Most American do not know the dangers in their food supply. Furthermore, foreign owned slaughter plants in the US provided no benefit to the US economy. If you do not have any empathy for the beautiful horses, have some concern for the safety for US citizens.REPORT COMMENTS

When people think of America they remember the wild west. They remember the horses, the cowboys. Why is the gov't taking that away? Uncle Sam has already slaughtered thousands of woves and foxes for the sake of the cow industry and now they're after the horses! For what? Americans don't eat horse meat so if the gov't wants to slaughter them it must be for another reason...like making room for the cow/beef & dairy industry. Save ALL the horses.
