As a citizen we see most animals under assault by Republican controlled Congress but these 50k wild horses (still in holding pens) rounded up off protected lands is violating "Wild Horse & Burro Act" that states, "you can not knowingly harass them or use motorized vehicles." All done by current Director of BLM with assistance of State congressional candidates that benefit by putting cattle on lands horses were removed from, a direct conflict of interest.to say the least... Most importantly the BLM Director was appinted by Senator Harry Reid whom has, traditionally non Democratic, anti animal stance and low scores o, Humane Society Legislative Score Card at www.hslf.org when his scores were tracked. NO Senator with deplorable LOW SCORES SHOULD BE ALLOWED TO APPOINT OR SIT ON ANIMAL WELFARE COMMITTEES, etc.; as it is direct conflict of interest and leave against welfare of animals. These wild horses symbolize our "American Heritage" and sending them to slaughter to "graze more cattle for the Cattle Growers Assoc" is AGAINST AMERICAN values!REPORT COMMENTS

Let us not forget that the meat of the US horses sent to slaughter in both Canada and Mexico is TOXIC to both man and animals. The meat is already in our grocery stores and in many prepared foods. There is no COOL Act, so we don't know where it actually comes from anymore. Many exotic zoo animals who are fed horsemeat are dying of cancers caused by the drugs administered to horses over the course of their service to man. The USA is LIABLE for many deaths both here and overseas by allowing US horses to join the food chain and this predatory, barbaric and inhuman practice must be stopped. Please stop this now. Horses are a treasure that should be taken care of. They shouldn't be abused in entertainment, nor tortured and then slaughtered for food. People need to have a heart already.
