The victimization of horses in the racing industry has reached a point where they're not even animals in the industries eyes. They're viewed the same way we view a simple object, a simple tool. In fact, maybe even less. These are animals, these are living beings which possess the neurological capacity of sentience. How can anyone allow them to reduce their worth to less than an inanimate object? As a species, we've reduced all other living being to nothing more than a resource for profit. But how much must we destroy? How much more suffering will we cause before we realize the consequences of all our collective actions? But even talking about the employees. Let's talk about the butchers for hire. Studies have shown that slaughterhouse employees tend to develop into more violent people. So, maybe someday one of the employees will shoot someone the same way as they do the horses. Will anyone blame the industry that pays him to kill animals for money? Of course not, but they still hold a huge level of responsibility over the employee's psychological well-being. So even allowing this act could potentially put people's lives in danger. Allowing such an inhumane, barbaric act is no good for the people nor for the horses. It's nothing more than a small display of the darkest, sickest depths of anthropocentric speciesm we normally sink to, and I hope justice will be done and this inhumane act be stopped.REPORT COMMENTS

i think the horse Slaughter is the cruelest thing you could do to a horse and they don't feed the horses no medical care and the transport is horrible a lot of horses die in the trailer before they ever drive to the slaughter house.REPORT COMMENTS

Horses are our pets they have been around for ever. They to look to us for safety family, how can anyone look the other way and not see that we are doing away with one of man and womens best friend the horse. They race for us, they trail ride for us, they pull carriages and ride police on the streets, they do so many things for us. for man to just look the other way and say food product send them to the most crumesome thing amagineable death by gun or stabbed or starve in transit or just beaten or burned stabbed because men say well there just going to die anyway. so they cut their ears off because they can. these equines never ask for this so how could you send them to their deaths ? lets stop transporting them to canda or mexico. stop killpens in america .save our horses as many as we can before they become extincted like the bison.
