We were granted these landgrants through the Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo. The State of Texas proclaims it's use when it is advantageous to them concurrently denying us our rights to use the same document to claim ownership of what is ours. It is time for social justice and exhoneration for our people and our culture.Mar 3rd, 2010Someone from Mcallen, TX writes:
Please listen to our unheard pleads. Please help us open those doors for justice. We beleive Mr. President that you are open to causes like this because we are the minority and we are not allowed to be heard. Sincerely Diana BalliREPORT COMMENTS

Righteous Anger arises at the continued injustices that have been served on our Ancestors and we the heirs; How much longer will this go on? Is there any Integrity left anyone whom would stand with us for what is rightfully ours?REPORT COMMENTS

I am an heir to the fabled "Espiritu Santo" grant of 1781. We lost it. The U.S. Army and Charles Stillman used chicanery and guile to strip it away from us in 1848. But parts were never paid for.REPORT COMMENTS

My mother, Argentina Galan (1919-1974), was a descendant of Joaquin Galan (1725-1808). Joaquin married Josefa Sanchez, daughter of Tomas Sanchez, founder of Laredo, Texas in 1755. Joaquin purchased 300,000 acres in what is now Webb county, Texas in 1803. Texas Bourland-Miller Commission took all the land in 1850, 160 years ago. Galan heirs have been going to US court since 1898.REPORT COMMENTS
