As a political science professor at Oakland University in Rochester, MI, I strongly believe in the value of our research and education. The knowledge we gain from this research leads to new insights about the way politics works, enables us to teach our students to be better, more critical consumers of information, and facilitates more global awareness among young students today. All of these are valuable goals, and are deserving of funding by the NSF. Please return funding for political science to the NSF. -

Political Science is, by far, the most paramount social science. It is the study of decision making and interaction. How can less funding for this help society function better?REPORT COMMENTS

This amendment is a sickening attempt on the part of Rep. Flake and others like him to control the flow of information in American society and its unintended consequences are not only disappointing for scholars and students, but dangerous for American society.REPORT COMMENTS

Please continue supporting political science. This is one way scholars can inform the U.S. policy community about politics worldwide, as well as better understand the American electorate.REPORT COMMENTS
