I am utterly revolted beyond words at the courts ruling in this matter. As a survivor of child abuse I know from personal experience the extent of damage a child can experience. The court system has appallingly and unpardonably failed the CHILD as well as the MOTHER in this case. Clearly the system is broken and WE need to fix it, NOW. We cannot rely on the judges to fix it. Somehow we have to insinuate ourselves into the system to change the law. This petition is a very good beginning. But, there is much more ACTIVE work that must be accomplished. I believe we must all must stand up and take part in the process on our home-fronts, in some way. Perhaps today is the perfect day to make a phone call or write a letter to your state representative while this subject matter is still fresh on your mind....REPORT COMMENTS
