A child sex offender should not be allowed the right to fight for custody of children. This puts the mother and the children through so much on so many levels. It appears to me that the system is set up to help and protect the criminal. There are so many holes in the system when the system (that is supposed to protect) fails to offer any help or protection for the children. And I am speaking with first hand knowledge...I will try to sum it up, but obviously there is a lot more to my story... I am trying to protect my 3 kids from a man who has been jailed for various things including domestic violence, and child molestation. He is now supposed to be a registered sex offender, but he has failed to register. And he is fighting me for custody. This should not be allowed in Washington State. I dream of a day when my children and I will be set free from his abuse. But I fear that day may never come.REPORT COMMENTS

This is a blatant failure of our elected officials to protect the public, especially sad since it is innocent children that are at risk. This is about OUR CHILDREN, and we demand protection for them under the law. It is the responsiblilityof our lawmakers to put that law on the books!
