June 10, 2013?until YOU grant Executive Clemency to Leonard Peltier!! Dear President Obama and others who may be concerned, I write you today with a sense of urgency, in the hopes that YOU will do what only YOU can do regarding this grave InJustice. Federal Prisoner Leonard Peltier (89637-132) recently told a visitor of his that he was not doing well physically and that he may very well not live too much longer. Let me spell it out to you, and I mean no disrespect but you need to fully understand the implications should Leonard Peltier die in prison!! I will not reiterate Leonard?s case?I have no doubt you and many you associate with know it well; certainly both myself and countless others have apprised you of it often enough! Please trust that Citizens around the World know the following: Leonard has been illegally and wrongfully incarcerated for close to 4 decades. His Constitutional, Treaty, Civil and Human Rights have been continually violated as referenced by the United States Constitution, the United Nations Declaration of Human Rights, the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples, the United Nations Convention against Torture and Other Cruel, Inhuman or Degrading Treatment or Punishment and the Geneva Convention. It is public knowledge that no solid case of guilt has ever been presented to assign Leonard to this wrongful incarceration. Indeed it has been more a case of ?someone has to pay? that has kept Leonard imprisoned. Repeatedly the FBI has stated they will not allow Leonard to be released?yet they have NO legal jurisdiction to keep him imprisoned other than threats, intimidation, malicious wrongful acts, and political favors?and they have indeed used these numerous times since Leonard?s wrongful extradition from Canada, his trial, appeals, parole hearings, and pleas for clemency. The specter of J. Edgar Hoover must be ecstatic to see his legacy of COINTELPRO live on. Those of us who believe in True & Fair Compassionate Justice continue to be appalled. The grave InJustice put upon Leonard Peltier mirrors the InJustices done to America?s Native-Americans, African-Americans, Immigrants-of-Color, and All others who are have been brutalized by the racist dogma inbred into the foundation of the United States. To that end, with Corporations-as-people, we have seen an escalation in Rights-denied to virtually Everyone except those who wish to undermine both the Democratic Process and the Rights & Welfare of the Everyday People. From mass incarcerations, to reduction of social necessities ? From fracking to GMOs, both blatant attacks upon the only Home with have > Mother Earth; ? From attempting to legislate Women?s bodies to placing the importance of Drones over People, all of this and more speaks to a Country where InJustice prevails. The United States has more prisons and incarcerates more people than any other Country. This is nothing to be proud of. Our prisons are over-fREPORT COMMENTS

If there is equality under the law, Leonard Peltier is to be free. It is a disgrace for America that he is not. Whatever intent or inertia keeps Leonard Peltier in prison, this confinement doesn?t reflect on him, but on every administration that doesn?t do anything about it. People don?t talk about giving Leonard Peltier a chance. They say ?he should have been liberated long time ago, like when Clinton had a chance.? They look at what the government does or does not to redeem itself. That Leonard Peltier is still in prison doesn?t affect them directly. That they live in a country where this can happen, does. I come from a police state. I have seen how, if this can happen to one, it can happen to many.REPORT COMMENTS
