Inmates that are changing and have proven for years that they are working to better themselves as people , should not be denied the opportunity to spend time with their wives and children. It would reduce stress and overall give them a sense of being human again. The families are being punished also. I pray that this law passes.REPORT COMMENTS

I STRONGLY BELIEVE THIS WOULD BE SOMETHING POSITIVE FOR THE INMATES ,SOMETHING TO LOOK FORWARD TO.I HAVE FAMILY MEMBERS WHO DO HAVE LIFE SENTENCES,UNFORTUNATELY DIFFRENT CIRCUMSTANCES HAVE TAKEN LOVED ONES AWAY FROM FAMILY.THIS DOES NOT MEAN THEY SHOULD BE FORGOTTEN,OR SHOULD NOT BE CARED ABOUT,OR LOVED.THEY ARE STILL LIVING HUMANS,WE ARE ALL STILL PEOPLE!LIFERS SHOULD HAVE SOMETHING TO LOOK FORWARD TO OTHER THAN CAUSING A BUNCH OF VIOLENCE TO EACH OTHER .WHILE IN OUR JUSTICE SYSTEM!I SAY PASS THIS LAW!REPORT COMMENTS

My husband is a lifer been inside for 21 years, he is a good role model and also help the young and inexperience ones to maintain so they can get out and not return , to teach them to learn from their errors. I have been waiting, writing, to get this approved. Not all inmates deserve to be treated wrongful, they need something to work for ,to look forward to. So it can help the issues that are inside the prison go away or cut massively down . It will also give them a sense of healing and work toward a goal. It will also set a trend for the other inmates . Learn by example and what better way to start from inside with the inmates. It will also teach them better to get along and stop the nonsense and work with each other which includes all races, and will help the Warden, correctional officers ,counselors , complete staff that run the prison there will be more peace instead of violence. We need to remember that the inmates that are inside the prison are fathers, Sons, grandsons , uncles, Godfathers ,and great grandfathers, we tend to forget that they also have titles and mean something to their families or other families we need to give them a sense of reality, family time , to show love and support they are people too and we do not want them to think we forget about them because we don't we love and do all we can to show that and support them.REPORT COMMENTS
