I have gastroparesis and unable to work. I have severe pain everyday and chronic nausea. Today they are putting in a feeding tube cause losing too much weight. I'm in process of fighting for disability and have been turned down twice now. So now waiting for hearing. So I'm hoping to get this petition passed.REPORT COMMENTS

Please help us - if any of you have someone you care about suffering from Gastroparesis, there would be no explanation needed. I've taught in early childhood education and in higher ed for 30+ years missing seldomly to now being fortunate if I make it to work 50% of the time. I'm learning about Gastroparesis through my struggle with it - a part of my repertoire I wish I didn't have. I had a Nissan Fundiplication, a rather simple procedure that has changed my life forever! I wouldn't wish it on anyone. Cost has been astronomical with numerous medications, additional surgeries, etc. in attempts of a better quality of life, it's never ending. If I go a couple of months not seeing a family member, they do not recognize me because of extreme weight loss, exhaustion, etc. I have three adopted children living in other states and as I've seen each one of them, they have not recognized me. UNBELIEVABLE!!!REPORT COMMENTS

Get your******together America and take care of the citizens that need assistance instead of spending $3000000 per golf trip for our so-called president. Gp is a real and horrible disease that seems to get worse for me as each Year passes living a regular life is not at all possible anymore. I am currently disabled due to this disease. I suffer for years with severe abdominal pain. After over 20 emergency room visits the finally did swallow test I was diagnosed having Gastroparesis. The medical community has very little to offer patients suffering from gastroparesis and other motility issues. The disease is debilitating and the available treatments give little relief for the constant pain and struggle. Please educate yourself on gastroparesis.
