I am signing this in memory of our infant son, Turner Ashby Crocker, who was born on March 25, 2017 at 38 weeks gestation. He passed away the day before his birth due to an umbilical cord accident. This bill would have helped my husband, myself and our 4 living children immensely so we could grieve together without worrying about finances. The grief process never ends when you have a death of a child but those first several months are very raw and unforgiving.

Having. Lost a grandchild and watch your child grieve and wonder how to return to employment and function. The whole extended family grieves. Life is never the same...a person of value is missing. Something one never recovers from. Yes, time is of essence to grieve and not feel pressure of employment. California allows this time on FLMA.
