It should be longer than 12 weeks. Grieving families need to be supported!!Jul 21st, 2017Melissa P. from Boswell, PA writes:
No parent should have to bare the pain of burying their child, let alone be forced to go back to work right after such a tragedy! God bless all of those parents struggling with this grief! Many prayers for the Stern family and beautiful Toby!REPORT COMMENTS

Losing our daughter has been the most challenging and life changing event we could ever imagine going through. We are lucky enough to have employer supported leave, but had we not, I'm not sure how we would have survived going back to work after her passing. Having time off to learn how to live without your baby is imperative and should be legally recognized. It benefits everyone if a bereaved parent has time off to focus on themselves and properly heal before returning to work. Please consider this addition to the FMLA.REPORT COMMENTS

I have never lost a child, but I am a mom of an almost one year old. To fathom the loss of an infant is unimaginable. Mothers barely get enough time off work as it is to have a child and learn how to take care of them with the basic legislature that goes along with FMLA. This addition to the qualifications would not only help grieving families, but would in return help employers with more capable and stable employees returning to work after such an immense loss. Please consider this addition.REPORT COMMENTS

Losing a child is a hurt like no other. Families should have as much time as needed & not have to worry about the financial aspect or job security.REPORT COMMENTS
