OUR POLICE OFFICERS NEED TO TAKE A CLASS ON HOW TO HANDLE "ALL" ANIMALS WITHOUT USING FORCE OF ANY KIND

I've always respected law enforcement but when I hear of the constant unnecessary killing of innocent family pets it makes me wonder if our once respected police officers are now nothing more than gun slinging thugs!

This is so necessary. People are losing beloved family pets because of rash actions by police.

Please require mandatory animal training for police. And those that choose to continue to gun down dogs without justification...hold them accountable! Thank You

Our furry family members are not for target practice. Please require mandatory animal training for police. And those that choose to continue to gun down dogs without justification...hold them accountable! Thank You

Our pets are our family. Our dogs just want to protect their family. They do not understand that a person with a badge is there to protect too. But when police kill members of a family, they lose the respect of the public. Dogs are family!

Local and State Police need training a barking dog is not an attack dog all the time. There are ways to tell. My dogs bark and wag their tails. They don't bite.

I work with dogs professionally and am OUTRAGED at the needless killing of family pets by law enforcement! As the granddaugher of a deputy, who always said drawing your weapon and using it was ALWAYS a last resort...it seriously concerns me that an officer who cannot handle a family pet has NO business in such a high stress profession.

This happens much too often! There absolutely has to be some sort of training in the academies on how to handle domestic pets in the line of duty without using deadly force as a first option. Other public entities like the postal service have protocol in place, it would stand to reason our law enforcement should too.
