There are a lot of high-skilled workers waiting for their green cards after waiting in line for many years. They have followed the right way and doing everything legally. They have to go through the such a long wait to get the legal permanent residence that it takes a toll on their life, both professional and personal. Many a times they are not able to receive promotions, move around, buy a house, make an investment just because of the fear of losing the status.
