Today 10/9/15 I went to court and the Judge A .McGinty allow my daughter to be place into a drug sale and using house house. CPS refuse to investigate this claim.They close the case after the father told them he used drugs and having drinking at his house in front of this little girl but today the same judge allow him to have visit and over night with him and now this little girl is scared to death. The system does not work and kids are put into danger from the court and CPS.REPORT COMMENTS

I have been in ulster county family court for years now trying to get custody of my girls. I allowed them to spend a few months with their father who was out of their lives for years. I wrote a paper saying they were to come back in two months or earlier if the wanted. The judge said it was a deed of custody and I have been in court constantly since. My girls have told cps and the law guardian Doug Wolff but yet all we get is another court date over and over again. No one will listen to my children. I have a court appointed lawyer Stewart Bararow who doesn't fight for me at all then we get out of the courtroom and he has me file out another form immediately to get right back in court. The last time cps did a court ordered investigation she came to my house and asked (How did the judge not flip custody). I have emailed an assembly women and I don't know where else to turn my girls need help getting away from this man. They cry everytime they have to go back because he always fights when it's time for my next visitation so they leave not knowing when they will see their mother again.REPORT COMMENTS

Allowing my felon ex husband who is also a registered sex offender to file for full custody of our son who he has not had contact with for almost 6 years. All because him and his new wife want my sons ssi check. Knowing Judge McGinty the way I do,he will probably grant custody and then when this all falls apart we will have to go back to court to have my son returned to me.REPORT COMMENTS

My son's father and I both unanimously agreed with the support of the child's law guardian that my mentally ill estranged mother is not a safe person to be around our child, especially unsupervised! We all have plenty supporting evidence and documentation against her. Yet, judge mcginty saw fit to ignore our constitutional rights as the child's biological parents and grand UNSUPERVISED VISITATIONS to this woman. This family court is a joke. Without going into details it was more like a soap opera than a fair legal system. Lies were allowed by the judge given by family members of one side, people who would lie to protect their own side. It was so obvious to everyone but the judge that the one side was defaming the other side with no proof. It was all a he said, she said farce. There was no consideration that the child was equally loved, cared for and taken care of by both sides. I was totally disgusted by the judge and her lack of true discernment of the situation.REPORT COMMENTS

My other half has had custody of his kids for over 5 yrs.....the mother decided to all of a sudden come back into the picture. she did not pay her child support and was in reers...she lied to social services to get benefits and she also lied in court and nothing happened to her....at all. The kids then decided at 15yrs old to try and live with mom since she wanted to be in their life now. Brian Mills the father decided okay he wasn't going to keep them prisoner and signed them over to their mother.....social services then went after him for child support stating he also has to pay back pay??!!! this is after it was proven in court that she still owes back support and lied to social services to get benefits and the court system is coming after him!!?? the one good dad that was there for his kid for over 5 yrs because their mother abandoned them and this is how our justice system helps him??? it is so disheartening and it is sad for the children involved.REPORT COMMENTS

Ulster County Court and CPS are some of the most corrupt agencies...my children's father has been reported for sexual abuse twice and still walks free and has joint custody of our kids...multiple people have reported seeing child pornography in his home and on his computers and CPS and family court was notified..all they did was turn their head and sweep it under the rug...verbal statements were given and they intentionally left that part out of the written paperwork so they wouldn't have to go in and investigate...this man still walks free, still preying on little girls and probably his own children....absolutely disgusting and disgraceful.REPORT COMMENTS

Thank you for reading my plea. The entire Kingston court system along with all of Ulster County needs to be thoroughly investigated, and completely redesigned to effectively manage and handle cases of family violence, justly and swiftly. All courts need to learn how to spot a bully narcissist; they are excellent at manipulating people in authority positions, passing court ordered tests, and discrediting their target victims. The courts have to be able to recognize, that a hysterical and defiant mother who is trying to alienate an aggressor from her children's lives is doing it to protect the children, and herself, from any further abuse and domination. Judges need to start believing the allegations of family violence and see that any signs of abuse, mental, emotional or physical are indeed a sign of emanate danger to the victims' safety and sanity. A Judge is supposed to support women who cry out for help, and make sure the women and children's ties are cut from any further incidences of bullying abuse. Cps does not protect children's lives. The children's attorneys do not have the child's best interest in mind. This injustice has been going on long enough. The police do not protect they just make incident reports. The court appointed attorneys do not have enough power or understanding to stand up and defend family victims from further abuse, of their perpetrator, and they are not able to stop the power of the Judge's abusive judgments. Judge's are giving abusers even more power and control than they already had, before appearing in the court room. Judge's are forcing victims to become even more submissive under unjust court orders. The victims defense is not even heard out, before being further ordered to submit to the abusers power and control. Please save our children from any further abuse, neglect, and exposure to abuse, because of the unsafe and inappropriate decisions of family court. The courts in Ulster County are not recognizing the eminent dangers of family bullies. The children are paying a heavy price because of the court ordered decisions. Parental equality is not necessary in cases of domestic violence. Please give the power back to mothers who are trying to protect their children from abuse men. Children should not be ordered to spend over nights in the care of an accused abuser. Children should be ordered to remain in the constant care of their secure attachment figure in order to grow into healthy adults. Please stop the patterns of abuse and neglect. Please fix the family court system. The (dis)Honorable Judge Anthony McGinty needs to be remove from his position of power asap. Women and children need protection that works. Judge Anthony McGinty of the Ulster county family court needs to resign. It is apparent that he has become overwhelmed by the number of open and ongoing cases in his courtroom. Cases are dragged out for extensive periods of time, all the while, parents are being alienated from their children. This "honorable" judge is disinterested in seeking the truth and routinely allows accusations about one parent against another to be made, without the accuser ever being required to provide evidence of the allegations made. Parent and child relationships need to be nurtured during this agonizing process and not torn apart over unfounded claims by one party. I've been in family court for 4 years. I was given sle custody by my Ex. Now my bio. mother is taking me to court for custody of my 5 year old son. With both me and his father stating me do not want her to have any relationship with him. She is a sociopathic Narcissist with OCD. This has cost me over 10,000.00 I can't afford to pay my lawyer and go to school, so I've had to put my bachelors degree in Social Work on hold to fight this mentally ill woman. Grandparent's rights in this state should not allow the courts to continue this. The case should be dropped- According to the law.
