this situation is complex enough, and i wonder when are the promises that the US and the UN actions are NOT towards the libyan people will see the light!! i cant understand. when you have sanctions on libyan money, libyans in the states and students who rely ONLY on their scholarship funds transfered from Libya cant get their monthly living allowance and have to be living on the streets with their families and children, then i MUST say that these sanctions are directed towards the people NOT the government!! i hope they consider these thousands of cases.May 18th, 2011Someone from East Lansing, MI writes:

Libyans are asking to earn their living with dignity, we're not asking for charity.REPORT COMMENTS

We cannot deport people to dangerous situations, in this case, a war zone. Actually, I believe this would not be legal.REPORT COMMENTS

I am from Armenia, and I just graduated from Howard University due to the generous scholarship by the State Department. I am lucky to leave back for home on May 31. But I can't imagine what would I do if I my country appeared in a situation like Libya. I believe 1. Libyans need protection; 2. Libyan students are the engine that will bring democracy and development to Libya. Let them complete their study, please. Thank you.REPORT COMMENTS
