As the president stated, our country is war weary. However, I believe it is in our long term national interest to actively support the moderate opposition in Syria and work towards a negotiated end to the war even if it requires some military involvement. The United States cannot be a neutral party in this conflict. I personally welcome the current debate regarding our potential military involvement but I also believe president Obama is right to call for some form of limited military involvement against those deemed responsible for the use of chemical weapons. I urge my representatives in Congress to vote in favor of giving the president the option of limited military action in Syria.REPORT COMMENTS
