We are tw years and 100,000 deaths too late to the party. This country was prepared to virtually discard the US Constitution in response to the murder of 3000 Americans on 9/11; but seems unable to understand that "Syrian" is another word for human being. We like to say, "Never again". Let's live up to our stated morality.

US Must strike this brutal regime. The strike should topple Assad regime and target the civilians or the rebels. Otherwise, not acting will send the wrong message to Assad to kill more civilians and he will declare winning against USA.

The world must make a statement against proliferation of WMD, including chemical weapons, but I hope we don't make matters worse be what actions we do take.

I am in full agreement of the assessment of Senators Graham and McCain that attacking and degrading the forces of the Syrian regime and militarily supporting the Free Syria Army is in the best interest of the United states. -The Majority of the Syrian people which is the backbone of the armed opposition are moderate and hold a positive view and high regard of the American morals and values, you can ask Ambassador Robert Ford who speech a fluent Arabic and intermingled within the Syria community during his assignment as an ambassador of the US in Damascus , and this would pose the hypothetical question , if the US has opened its door for immigration from Syria , I would say 23 million Syrian ( the whole population) will fill the application (I-130), most if not all the Syrian population have a full respect to the American value and Democracy and there dream to have a similar great democracy, it is the Regime propaganda that spread the hate against the USA , to distant the two population from each other. -The extremist element among the opposition is a small group but it keeps high profile in the conflict to draw publicity and again they were used as a regime hand to distort the revolution from its path toward democracy and freedom toward an extremism that had been rejected from almost all Syrian, and most of these extremist came from outside the country (Gihadist and Fundamentalist)and they have no place in the Syrian future, this is the view most US expert on Syria, including ambassador Ford (US ambassador to Syria) and Elizabeth O'beigy of the Institute of the study of war. -Using chemical weapons is a grave precedent. If the US does not act, other awkward regimes in the world will follow this example and arm themselves with the same. -I would like to say that American officials, such as Senator McCain and Ambassador Ford, who went to Syria and met with civilian as well as members of the opposition armed forces came back with a positive view of the opposition: both civilian and armed forces. -In addition, several non-official experts on Syria such as Elizabeth O'bagy, who is a senior analyst at the Institute for the Study of War, also has made many trips to Syria and wrote many reports about her findings. She also has an optimistic view regarding the composition of the armed resistance. -And Syrians since the beginning of the uprising which started and continued for about 9 months as peaceful demonstration have called for help from America. They are now desperate. -Not punishing the regime for its use of Sarine Gaz would encourage it to use the more potent chemical (DX), in the next atrocity, and genocide which has been committed in almost everyday against the innocent civilians . - I would finally add that it is of the US best interest, to destroy such a regime ans have the US as the friend of the Syrian people and not its enemy, given the large opportunities for the American companies to invest in the future of Syria, with the recently
