Please stop the use of chemical weapons now. The normalization of their use through acquiescence and inaction presents a far greater long-term threat to the U.S. and the world than the fallout from a limited, targeted military strike.REPORT COMMENTS

I was vehemently against the 2003 Congressional authorization for the use of force against Iraq, but I do believe that the upcoming authorization for the limited use of force in response to Assad's use of chemical weapons in Damascus is the right thing to do.REPORT COMMENTS

Please help the Syrian people regain their peace, sanity and dignity by stopping Bashar Al-Assad, a monstrous dictator who is the son of another dictator Hafez al-Assad, from continuous massacring of his own people. The citizens of Syria are represented across a homogenous mix of ancient civilizations, dating back to the Levantine, however they are now on the verge of mass extinction and are running out of places to bury their dead, and are being horrendously killed by Assad's evil gangs and armies, using every outlawed weapons of mass destruction imaginable. All because the Syrian citizens dared to peacefully protest in the streets asking for their own freedom, dignity and democracy. Throughout the years, the Assad mafia gang and his benefactors Russia, Iran and Hezbollah have ganged up to inflect countless murderous acts on the Syrian people, its neighboring Iraqis, Israelis, and Lebanon. I ask you, when is this monster going to be stopped? Mass graves had become a common site in Syria, where woman, children, young men and the elderly are all bunched in together, on top of each other. Please help! If not the United States, then who?REPORT COMMENTS

*very few people "want" war, but there are times when we have to fight--WWII, for example. UNLIKE the situation in Iraq, where there were NO WMDs, US & UN inspectors have verified the use of nerve gas in Syria & the US intelligence connects it to the Assad govt. Also, there are alternatives to "traditional" warfare: DRONE STRIKES, SECRET COMMANDO STRIKES (like NATO did with Milosevic). Besides, those who OPPOSE any (military) action have NOT come up with any alternatives. They just say no, that they don't want to spend the money, or just use "diplomacy" via the UN--really? Think Assad will sit & negotiate his way OUT of power?REPORT COMMENTS

The intervention is just to stop the killing and using the chemical weapon, for those who thinks this is a bad thing, look back into your heart and tell the others that you don't care if our kids got killed because of your objection.REPORT COMMENTS
