This is very important to retaining our infrastructure and our heritage. We should not forget our past in an attempt to blaze into the future. We need to THINK FIRST and save what we love. -

Our cultural heritage is a nonrenewable resource, and it's important that all the people of our nation have access to information about our shared history and the diverse groups that built the country we have today. We must promote respect for the Native American groups that lived here before the arrival of Europeans, as well as the tribes that are part of our country today. We need to foster an interest in archaeology and preservation, alongside an appreciation of both the similarities and differences that make up humankind. For the sake of today's children and future generations of Americans, we need to reauthorize the Historic Preservation Fund.REPORT COMMENTS

Historic preservation is an investment in tourism, in the long term economic viability of communities and most of all, in their sense of community. This should be a bi-partisan no-brainer.REPORT COMMENTS
