I grew up at the foothills of the Knolls in Simi. My best friend (who lived down the street) and her father were diagnosed with hypothyroidism. Rocketdyne would do tests when we were at elementary school, the ground shook and i remember billows of white clouds and a huge rumbling... even all of us kids were taught to just dismiss it as 'thats what they do up there' . We grew up in Agoura Hills, close to the Santa Susanna Field Lab. My sister isa battling thyroid cancer, and my thyroid now is looking suspiscious and needs to be scanned every six months. Neighbor in back of me had brain cancer. Another has Hashis, another just had surgery for a rare eye tumor, another's father passed from cancer. You can claim we weren't contaminated, but how else are all of us in our 30's so sick with cancers and growths?REPORT COMMENTS

we have a area with a very large population of retinoblastoma (rare eye cancer in infants) we where very sad that the cancer registry was able to water down the results-we even had other epidemiologist saying "this is a problem" we took our presentation to the american academy of pediatrics--the parents are pushing for screening --if this cancer is caught early the child will not have to have the eye or eyes removed--increasing awareness-- please take our state and federal funding (0ur tax dollars) away from the cancer registry who have several conflicts of interest- save our children and their vision!REPORT COMMENTS

WE moved away from Douglas County, Oregon because of all the diseases, cancer, Parkinson's, autism, and MS, to name a few, that was caused in my opinion by all the herbicides and pesticides sprayed on the population by industries, state, and local governments. In their last budget, published just a week ago, Douglas County, ORegon allowed over $40,000 to spray herbicides along the highways WHILE PEOPLE ARE DRIVING ON THEM. But, state bureacracy and federal bureacracy won't talk about it and hide the data they collect on the number of deaths in any given Oregon location. The people are prey and no one in government will do anything to stop it.REPORT COMMENTS
