As a rural carrier for the USPS I can tell you that many folks in rural areas depend on us six days a week. The majority of the general public do not use electronic bill pay. The post office is being destroyed by the 2006 bill that put the burden of pre-paying retirements at a rate that would destroy any business. That pre-payment has caused the post office to shut down processing plants, not fill necessary jobs as workers retire and this is lowering our ability to do a good job by correctly delivering mail in a timely manner. Cutting service by ending six day delivery will only serve to hasten the demise of our postal service.Jan 19th, 2013Someone from Fairbanks, AK writes:
