6 day delivery is the only advantage the postal service has over other delivery service without paying a premium for Saturday delivery. Taking that away would destroy the postal service.The postal service keeps all other delivery service in check. It does not make any sense what so ever to cut a day of delivery,in the long run it will destroy the USPS. The USPS is a SERVICE!!! Not a business,the post office says it is growing its parcel service...kiss the parcel service goodbye if congress eliminates Saturday delivery.
