I work for the postal service and am proud to do so. I feel that this would be a terrible mistake to go to 5 days. People depend on getting their mail, medications included in this. The postal service needs to be able to stop prefunding health care for future employees....if we cut back to 5 days a week, many more people would be out of work and our unemployment rate is high enough as it is. Please think of the elderly who depend on us to deliver for them, for those who are out in the rural areas of our beautiful country. this would just be the first step towards abolishing the postal service. First it is 5 days, then a few years from now they can go to 4 days...when will it stop?REPORT COMMENTS

Start the cuts at the top. How can management take bonus's when the company is sinking. You could eliminate most middle management also without it making any difference in service.REPORT COMMENTS

Instead of cutting money for those that are WILLING to work, how about you cut it for the fat, lazy, greedy self centered arrogant jerks that expect something for nothing... Oh and while you're cutting the pay for politicians, how about you cut money out of the welfare budget!REPORT COMMENTS
