should be drumming up business instead of reducing services. Stop treating the competitors as allies and compete for the packages!Mar 26th, 2013Someone from Lincoln, RI writes:

Universal service to all is threatened. Especially in rural areas. Those customers are being penalized. Decline in services just means that customers will leave the post office for other avenues whether it is online or other couriers. This isn't an effective means to save money, just a way to begin eliminating vital services to the public, which isn't this what the USPS is supposed to provide? Postal SERVICE. It is a shame that an organization that has done so well for over a century, under new current managment faces crisis, as well as legislation from 2006 that ties up monies unnecesssarily.REPORT COMMENTS

The Postal Service is a viable business and it is time for Congress to its job to restore it along with the sanctity of the mail. No excuses the Postmaster has no authority whatsoever to reduce the service to five days. Lets Investigate the Waste Fraud and Abuse and the reason for and average of 20,000 EEO cases being filed every year in recent history. Postal Workers are treated like second class citizens and in my personal experience during my career I was given death threats by a Union official and Managements in action was their approval. I wrote to My representatives office and all I received was a form letter with the postmasters reply which was nothng but a bunch of excuses and lies. An investigation at that time could have been very fruitful because that level of dysfuntion in light of a zero tolerance violence policy showed that something was definitely wrong. The Inspection service actually wanted to prosecute the Union Official but I believe at that time the postmasters could still back them off at will. That is just one story.REPORT COMMENTS
