Ashley should have her dogs back. Killeen Animal Control is very corrupt. They make their own laws and think they are above existing laws. They target animal lovers and if you are not on their "approved' list of rescues and try to help animals or animal owners they will target you. Ashley spent months looking for her lab, Apollo, after he was stolen. She finally found him and recovered him. She got lots of publicity on this, including a write up in the local newspaper. After her ordeal she formed a organization to help other people who had lost their animals find them. She was providing a service to the community that was very much needed and that was successful. She helped find several lost animals and reunited them with their owners. This was her "crime" and the real reason that Killeen Animal Control targeted her. -

Shelters are targeting a lot of people who are trying to find dogs homes. The shelters dont like looking bad and it's amoney issue from what I understand. It's VERY sad that shelters are more concerned with profit than finding loving homes for so many animals in need. It's an even greater tragedy when a person loses their canine family members and ignorant and EXTREMELY insensitive people dont care and dont value or respect the love or the bonds between family members (canine/human).
