The maternal mortality is higher in the US then reported due to the underreporting of maternal deaths, due to NON mandated reporting of whether the mother is pregnant at the time of death. This mandatory box on the death certificate MUST be instituted in ALL states in the US and Complete and Through investigation of ALL maternal deaths MUST be done in all states. THis MUST be done NOW. MY DAUGHTER'S UNNECESSARY DEATH DUE TO INTERVENTIONS IN LABOR WILL NOT BE IN VAIN.REPORT COMMENTS
