Dear Sir....I have witnessed your convictions on the Nightly News, your good work in front of Congress and I imagine your good heart at its mighty best -doing the right thing. I have watched your emotions take over and they take over because of your convictions...you are a good honest man... So I ask of you to look closely at this situation. I promise you your heart will react like mine and you will get a little choked up -it is the extremely disturbing removal of horses young and old . It is tradgically the transport of new foals and their mothers and fathers going to slaughter...packed in like sardines for more than the 36 hr trip to Mexico or Canada ...some don't make it, mostly the babies and the injured.. It is so far beyond very sad but as I said, I think you will recognize how morally wrong this really and truely is and I know in my heart you will try your best to help us end this because I have witnessed your good character. Most of us realize this is inhumane and just plain wrong. It is in our makeup to recognize that there is so much pain and suffering and it is unbearable for us to witness. I cannot watch any of these vidoeos - they are graphic beyond belief. I have heard the term describing the loading as nightmarish. We should work hard to end this transport and put a stop to what is morally wrong and let America shine again as an example to the rest of the world.
