A brain tumor took the life of my amazing daughter last summer. She was just 11 years old. Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma is a tumor that ONLY occurs in children and is almost always fatal. It is a slow and horrific death. There must be more research. Many say that if a cure to DIPG were to be found, it would unlock the mystery to many cancers. SUPPORT IS NEEDED. I am tired of seeing families raise money for research in the pediatric cancer world... all these kids deserve a shot at survival. Research is the only HOPE that families have.REPORT COMMENTS

Our daughter passed away from a brain tumor in January 2011. Her treatment was not much different than those with this type of cancer 40 years ago. Research is needed to understand these tumors in order to effectively treat them.REPORT COMMENTS
