Spoliation of evidence is the intentional or negligent withholding, hiding, altering, or destroying of evidence relevant to a legal proceeding. If a party to litigation does not preserve evidence (documentary or otherwise) then the jury may presume that the evidence would have been unfavorable to that party. Mitt is intentionally withholding evidence (tax returns) relevant to the election.
