I hurt my back in 1998 and its only got worse over the years. I a lot of nerve damage and swelling of my legs and feet and now have been diagnosed with osteoporosis at the age of 37 and have tried marijuana for pain and swelling. After using marijuana my pain is a lot less and the next day the swelling in my feet goes away and I'm able to walk and put on my shoes. So yes I want us here in kentucky to have the same rights for a better life like all of the other places that have medical marijuana.

I have multiple sclerosis and live with pain and all sorts of issues everyday. I have been around marijuna all my life and have to say I do not smoke it at all as it is illegal and I am a law abiding person. But if I was given an option to use marijuna or take the god forsaken man made pain pills. I would choose the marijuna. I have never seen family problems come from using marijuna except the ones that the "law" causes! But I have seen people on pain pills lose everything including their lives!!! I agree that just anybody should not have access to the stuff. I do believe their should be limits of growing and having in possession useable amounts. I do not believe that it should be a free for all because children that have developing brains should not have access to the stuff unless medically been deemed that the pros outweigh the cons. Like epilepsy. I live with this disease everyday and the pain because I hate pain pills. I wish that there was another choice out there for me.

The public was lied to in the 50's and 60's about the dangers of marijuana. It is time for truth and action.

I am a firm believer in the use of medical marijuana. I have a severe case of ADHD and am tired of taking meds that just cause more problems and take away my appetite, leading to extreme weight loss and fatigue. I was also in a very serious car accident about a year ago and was lucky enough to walk away. However, I am in constant pain and smoking is the only thing that has increased my quality of life and alleviated the pain from the accident and balanced a previous chemical imbalance in my brain(AKA ADHD). I trust the political officials of Kentucky will take this bill seriously this time around.

I have intercranial pressure also known as pseudotumor cerebri. My insurance no longer covers my medicine and I'm taking a generic, because of the price, which does not help me. I've smoked before and it helped tremendously! But fear smoking because of the laws. Please legalize medical marijuana!

I have Crohn's Disease and Marijuana is the only thing that has ever helped me drastically 95% of the time. But because of the marijuana laws I cannot medicate, or find remission. Legalize Medical Marijuana!

I recently had stomach surgery, they prescribed Percocet for the constant severe pain, while telling me it wouldn't relieve it, I stopped taking it because of the intense nausea it induced. I tried weed my mother reccomended, and total relief. I never believed marijuana was an actual medicine, I assumed it was a bunch of fakers wanting to get stoned. Now I know different. My surgery pain has subsided and I've stopped smoking. But I really feel for the people with permanent or even short term conditions that can be relieved with cannabis. I now know how valuable it is, and feel terrible for the people suffering with no access to relief.

If you should come down with cancer it is terribly wrong that you can't choose your own medicine when dying. Let's help sick people not arrest them.

I am 68 years old with peripheral neuropathy. The pain in my feet makes it difficult to sleep. Smoking marijuana at night dulls the pain and puts me to sleep, more effectively than the Lyrica which I am currently prescribed. Marijuana is also cheaper than Lyrica.

The people who smoke it are gonna find it somewhere, legal or not. So why not make it available to the people who want or need it. I don't drink alcohol or take pills. Or use any hard drugs. Its my choice, and should be my right to use this god given plant.

I am for Medical marijuana. I was in a has car accident 5 years ago and have horrible headaches from it due to spine injuries. At the time I lived in Michigan and the prescriptions the Dr prescribed me made me feel horrible. But when I started medical marijuana it didn't give those feelings. It is legal there in Michigan, and I beloved it should be in Kentucky also. My grandmother is very sick and I beloved if it was legalized here she could get the eatables and would feel so much better than these narcotics she has to take. And its so much safer than these pills the Dr's hand out. Thank you!

I was diagnosed with epilepsy when I was 17. I tried the medications that my Dr's prescribed me but they just made me feel lethargic and in a zombie state. So, I talked to my neurologist and he recommended me trying marijuana. And I partake to this day. I'm 22 and I haven't had any seizures since.
