I cast my vote for solar energy. As a solar contractor myself, I see the industry as a way to create jobs here in the USA and to lessen our dependence on foreign energy. Let's keep it front and center at the National Mall and in the minds of the decision makers of this country.REPORT COMMENTS

I fully support every endaevor to advance the use of solar and other alternative sources of power over the uise of fossil fuels which only continue to contaminate the atmosphere and create global warming, that if not soon brought into check, which will bring drastic and devastating changes that will only then be reversable by the demise of the human race.REPORT COMMENTS

One hour of sunlight radiating onto the surface area of the great lakes in the U.S. produces more energy than humankind has used in all of recorded history! The sun's fusion reactor cost the Earth nothing to build! NO COST. It is safely located 93 million miles from Earth, again it is a Fusion Reactor, no disposal costs for radioactive waste! Wait a minute, i forgot if you can't meter it deem it NOT FEASIBLE for the masses. Solar Energy provides life, and yet we can't seem to break the oil and pollution cycles, to power our economy and keep the money in the U.S. HELP educate our young people to this great tried and proven energy source.REPORT COMMENTS

Beyond the well chosen words above is the public stance your administration has taken to make Americas' buildings more energy efficient. Most recently spoken were words to the effect of "incentives and tax breaks". This is an opportunity to give the next American generation their break to materialize the words you have spoken to them. Trampled grass will regrow. Trampled hopes may not.REPORT COMMENTS

Now is the time for bold leadership. Every President since Richard Nixon has stressed the importance of reducing our dependence on fossil fuels. Until recently, little has been done to make that remotely possible. This is the right thing to do for this country on so many levels, economically, ecologically, and from both an educational and a political standpoint. The downside to this event is practically non-existent. The benefits of this investment in the future will pay off for years to come. And not just nationally, but globally. Let them build on the Mall!REPORT COMMENTS
