This is not an entitlement program. Americans have paid into SS their entire working lives. The fund should not be taken from by anybody, by anybody, for any reason. I'm represented by 2 of the GOP senators and I know they don't have the interests of the elderly as a priority. Both are wealthy and have no clue about people who are not in the same position as them and don't care. The GOP will most assuredly become the 'death panel.' President Obama, pls don't let them take away this small lifeline (my SS is not that much since I didn't have a very high paying job). So many would have nowhere to turn w/o SS and no income to spend for the basic necessities.REPORT COMMENTS
