DON'T TOUCH IT! ANY MORE! You seem to be able to agree to give yourselves raises but you want to cut social security, food stamps, medicare and medicaid. Cut your salaries, your pensions, your health care, your perks and benefits. Leave the middle class alone. -

President Clinton did not use these programs to balance the budget! He raised taxes. Even Ronald Reagan agreed that these programs do not raise the deficit. We paid for these programs through hard work. The rich have had 12 years of tax cuts. They did not create jobs during this tax holiday! It is time to scrap a tax cut that did not work.REPORT COMMENTS

Dear Sir, We are already having a very hard time staying afloat with the very megger Social Security. Some of us were not in the era of 401K's and Milatary, State, etc., retirement benefits to add to our SS so with our deductables, groceries,gas when we can afford it, we are almost homeless. Have mercy and do not let the rich get by with more oppression by not paying their fair share of taxes. This will be the only way our government can rise above oppression by the Capialist Fashious society.REPORT COMMENTS

We have paid into Social Security and Medicare through our payroll contributions since wre started working. It is highway robbery to try to cut those benefits for anyone under 55 who has been contributing to these programs for over twenty years and completely inadmisible as well as talk about raising the age of retirement for us.REPORT COMMENTS
