What ever happened to the pure food and drug act and the enforcement of those laws? When I buy food or drugs and now tobacco I should know exactly what I am getting when I put my money down. I demand that this FSC law be repealed as it does not stop house fires as it was intended., The last report I saw said 1 in 3 house fires is still caused by smoking products left unattended. Chemical additives and the like should not be found in my tobacco. Since the FSC, I have noticed skin spots on mine & my Father's skin. Also my Father has burn his self,clothes & furniture more ever then when NO FSC was in cigarettes. FSC cigarettes are by far the worst invention ever. In 2008 they implemented this law in Illinois where I live, and I had noticed as far back as summer 2007 when they started selling these or slowly "blending them in" at the stores in iL that I had numerous headaches and what seemed to be a traveling sensation through my body of either shooting pain or "cleansing sensations" soon after. Being that I lived close to Indiana and still got regular cigarettes usually, I wondered what the hell was making my body do this. I had a friend in 2009 tell me about the law and it was Iike a GODsend, so I did very thing possible to get non-FSC cigarettes while they were in circulation. Even ordered duty free. In the past couple of yrs the duty free option has become less trustworthy, so I resumed with the FSC cigarettes. The intense headaches have resumed, as well as great mental dog from getting high from the glue all the time, as well as shooting pains occasionally in random parts of my body. That doesn't begin to mention the perpetual metallic taste in my mouth an my higher than normal blood pressure. Occasionally ill get a buildup in my sinus passages that drains if I smoke a lot, and it causes pain when it drains. The FSC cigarettes are AWFUL and whoever concocted these needs to be drug out into the street and etc.....these things are POISON!!! Let me reiterate, POISOn!!!!!!! Lorraine Carli and her craptastic web page called "the coalition for fire safe cigarettes" has so many damned myths and non-tested material in their web page, it's not even funny. This has basically been genicide against the smoking population in the US and Canada, and it needs to END.REPORT COMMENTS

I have skin erosion all over my body caused from fsc. Was out of the country for some time and it cleared up. Purchased cigarettes on flight duty free and not fsc. As soon as I ran out, started smoking the fsc and it is back. This should not be allowed. The poison that is from these cigarettes should be stopped. Just another way for big tobacco to make money, so they can pay their lobbyist to spread fear over organic papers/tobacco, as well as e-cigarettes which are way healthier than their chemical laden cigarettes. I just switched to an all glass/metal e-cigarette with organic juice from Virgin. My lungs cleared up immediately, by the next day. If it was lung disease, it would not simply go away the next day. I was having reactions to their chemicals. BTW, their big thing that the liquid nicotine is so dangerous, I accidentally spilled some on my hand. A teaching Doctor in the hospital mentioned the fsc cigarettes and stated he had numerous patients with severe problems from these. After stopping the cigarettes , problems subsided. I know that fsc is worse for me than regular cigarettes, I can feel it when I smoke them. My throat has been hurting for over a year, they make my tongue and lips numb from time to time. They taste bad, sometimes almost metallic in flavor. You have to puff them more often to keep them lit, which already makes smoking even more dangerous. And a far as saying they are fire safe is a joke. I have seen the hots fall off, shoot little sparks and flames almost like mini fireworks display. micro explosions I have tiny holes burnt into all my shirts and other clothes. I feel betrayed by my country for allowing such a thing. I wish I could quit but I'm utterly helplessly addicted. Its not fair that we dont have a choice, no rights. Pure fascism thank you barrack o'hitler. Traitor, you used to smoke too but now that you quit smoking you poison us. Even tried to do away with menthol till that was declared "racist" .... If the government really cared they would simply ban cigarettes and tobacco and make it illegal. But no they poison them instead , that shows us the true intentions of our government.
