Our troops are paying enough with their lives in jeopardy protecting our country charging the men and women that are serving our country to use the internet is just wrong. Please let them use the internet without having to pay for it that money could actually go back to their families that need to by food, gas ect...God Bless All Our Troops you deserve so much more then our country is giving you.

It isn't fair that the people who spend time away from their families and loved ones to protect our country to have to pay to keep in contact via internet with the people they left behind. They protect our country, can't we at least give them free internet?

While our family members are deployed, they deserve the free internet and phone time to talk their loved ones. It's a little unfair to have them pay for internet usage when it doesn't work half the time, or cuts in and out while you're trying to talk to them. I understand that a lot of money is already put into them being gone, but think about it...while they are paying for it over there, we are having to pay for it here too. So in a month we're paying around $200 just to be able an communicate with our husband, wife, parent, or sibling. Not everyone can afford this, and shouldn't have to cut this cost and miss out on that very important, sometimes only 5 min, conversation.

I personally think the guys you are sending into harms way should have some basic things to contact home including free internet and phone usuage. It is abusred that they do not have this for all that they do. Come on congress give these guys a little help!!!! This coming from a wife of three year long deployments. It is a big boost for them to be able to contact their families/friends.

probably no need to say that our lower rank soldiers that have families live on paycheck to paycheck, and also having to pay for internet to stay in touch with there family, that is ridiculous....

My boyfriend is currently in Iraq fighting for our country. I think $60-$95 a month for internet is ridiculous! He shouldn't have to PAY to keep in touch with his family and friends back home.

Why should they have to pay for internet to see there family well they are gone for years at a time. It is just not fair. this needs to be passed. so they can see there family on there computers with out having someone standing over there shoulder.. or having to give the computer up after only talking for a couple mins..

My husband is also serving in Iraq, again, and has missed the birth of both our children. To pay to see his family's faces, when doesnt want to be gone in the first place, is outrageous.

My husband is currently serving in Iraq and he missed the birth of our daughter. Internet is the only way he has been able to see her and watch her grow. It crazy that he has to pay to use internet in order to see his daughter who he will not hold for the first time when she is 8 months old! These soldiers work too hard to protect our families and make us safe to have to pay for internet!

My husband is currently serving his 3rd tour in Iraq. It costs him $60 a month for internet. If he doesn't pay for the internet in his room, its $10 an hour at the MWR and if there's anyone in line, its a strict 1 hour rule. The only way for us to Skype with him so our 4 children can see him, is to pay the $60 a month for him to have internet in his room. I'm glad to pay it because its important for our children to see their Daddy, and for him to see him them. But I don't believe we should have to pay for it. I believe we have earned free internet. He's on his 3rd tour and all the time he's gone, I'm essentially a single parent to our 4 kids. Soldiers get free postage on letters, but I think the Army needs to keep up with the times and allow free internet as well. I don't think the internet provider should be making money off soldiers and their families who are desperate to have any and all connections available to each other. It should be a right considering what soldiers and their families are put through, not just an option.

My husband is overseas right now. He missed the last 3 months of my first pregnancy, and is missing watching our son grow up. He won't see him until he is 9 months old. :( Soldiers put their lives on the line and DESERVE freebies in life, even if it IS free interrnet.

I'm just trying to talk to my husband, as I go through my first pregnancy without him. This is seriously THE LEAST that should be offered.

My husband will be deploying in December, and it would be nice if the internet was free so I could talk to him when he's gone. Soldiers are putting their lives on the line over there! Least you can do is make their internet and flights home free!!
