Animals do not deserve to suffer like this . We should not be trying to control animals . Convicted murderers suffer less than animals who have committed no crime . Inhumane animal euthanasia should be a crime and made a felony punishable by 17 years in prison , the same term as a woman who starved her horses . And hopefully maybe they can be tear gassed to death in jail so they can feel the same pain . -

This is sick. If an animal absolutely has to be euthanized (and not due to overpopulation, which is a myth), then it needs to be done in the most humane way possible, as is done in a veterinarian's office. The animal is sedated, and then the actual lethal injection is administered with no pain for the animal. This is no more expensive than "heartsticking". Kill shelters need to be eliminated. Dog adoption programs WORK--even transport is now almost always available. There is no reason to allow this barbaric practice to continue.REPORT COMMENTS
