I have an adopted daughter from Nepal...My adoption was complete 4 years ago...My daughter is the most amazing little girl you will ever meet! I have been to Nepal twice and saw first hand the conditions these children try to survive in...The memories are almost unbearable! In Nepal it is against the law to abandoned a child, there is no way that the parent of an abandoned child in Nepal is going to come forward and provide information about the child! This is what the US govt. looking for in their investigation? For the love of GOD let these children go with their perspective parents who WANT to love them and give them opportunities they might not ever have! Give them a chance to thrive in a healthy environment! PLEASE HELP! Don't let them rot in an orphanage! Aren't we supposed to be looking out for the children??? Those that do not have a voice! Please help these parents and the children! To the US government, please issue the Visa's to allow these children to go home with their parents...PLEASE! -

Kids needing families need our best help. Every moment of their childhoods is important to their development, and one month to them is like a year to us! Please act quickly so these children can be cared for. You've got families ready for them. What more can you ask for?REPORT COMMENTS

I am an adoptive parent and a licensed professional working in the adoption field. Our goal is always to keep adoption "child centered". While I sympathize with the potential adoptive families, and would be devastated to be in their position, their tragedy pales in comparison to the loss these children are experiencing. Every day they remain in an orphanage setting is another day they lose out on their potential growth in all aspects of their life. Rationally, if adoptions are to be put on hold, it is only logical to complete those that have referrals/children, and stop the process for families who have NOT received their referral yet. I believe this example has precedence in other countries with which we adopt internationally. The attached petition is well informed and correct in its arguments. To not allow these families to complete their adoptions would truly be a crime against humanity.REPORT COMMENTS
