The RFE and NOID issuances and rebuttals are expensive, time-consuming, legal processes that merely serve to punish the children and adoptive families caught up in them, while allowing the US government to apply pressure to the foreign government at hand. International adoption reform is sorely needed so that abandoned and orphaned children can get the loving families they deserve.

As the mother of an adopted Chinese girl, I can't imagine what these families are going through - being unsure of the state of their families. *Please* make every effort to assist these approximately 80 families - please don't make them pay for the change in political winds. Let these children join their families, and let families come back to the USA, THEN work out the political differences. thank you for your kind attention to this matter.

Please help these families and children have expidited visas. It dismays me as an Adoptive parent to hear of any wrong-doings in adoption because I know the challenges even in the best of circumstances. Children deserve better from everyone involved. They deserve to be safe and loved. Keeping these children from having families after approving their adoptions is heart-breaking. But, especially when investigations have come in clean (no trafficking). These families should be allowed to come home to the US and start their lives together. Please help them.
