This is barbaric and a tragedy. The DoS and DHS owe us all, as U.S. citizens, open communication and prompt action. Their behavior (or lack thereof) is inexcusable. -

Please look at this and understand how devastating this would be for you personally as a parent. This process is designed intentionally to bond the parent to the child and make them Family before the process is complete. Please look at this issue.REPORT COMMENTS

I feel for the families and hope all goes well. Adoption is such an emotional roller coaster and our country should be ashamed for causing such a distress to many hard working and loving familes/people of this nation. On another note I am sure the government is not going to pick up the additional cost to the families. This is almost like a racket the US will let you do all the paperwork, pay for all the items required for the adoption and then close the door in you face ones you get there and leave you stranded in a forign country forcing the families to make a difficult decision to wheather leave the child they just adopted from the country or stay and be in financial difficulty when they return.REPORT COMMENTS

Our US government is getting out of control. Stop forcing children to live in an orphanage for so much extra time, let these children and parents GO HOME. If the Government of Nepal says' that these children CAN be adopted by US citizens why would our USCIS not process a Visa it makes no sense.REPORT COMMENTS

It is an OUTRAGE and a DISGRACE to bar already formed families from being united due to an unforeseen government technicality. It is one thing to prevent future Nepalese adoptions by Americans, but quite another to surprise families with a bar to bringing home THEIR children. It is my hope that our Members of Congress will immediately right this very wrong and restore at least some of this country's people's faith in our government leaders, especially, where it hits us at our very core...OUR FAMILIES.REPORT COMMENTS
